Suede Biker Jackets for Men

Although you’d be forgiven for thinking summer never actually happened, autumn is now upon us…the perfect time to get that old vintage motorcycle out of the garage and back onto the sodden streets. What do you mean, you don’t have a bike? Pah, they’re dangerous anyway; far better to take the interesting bits of bikerdom – the superb clothing – and just use the bus. Today, we present you with our five favourite suede biker jackets, each of which is guaranteed to add a bit of texture and colour to your transitional wardrobe.

Superdry Real Hero Suede Biker Jacket

Superdry Real Hero Suede Biker Jacket – £199.99, Superdry

We begin with a real premium piece – Superdry Real Hero suede biker jacket. Collarless in style, this superb jacket has been crafted from suede leather in a rich golden colour, with a contrast lining and single inside pocket. On the outside, you’ll find four pockets – two horizontal ones at chest height and two slanted ones lower down on either side. Zipping up at the front, it fastens across the neck with two popper fastenings.

Black Dust Deer Biker in Burgundy with Borg Collar

Deer Biker in Burgundy with Borg Collar – £145, Black Dust

Black Dust is a company that prides itself on producing ‘toughened-up outerwear’ that channels both Indian and UK influences and this burgundy biker jacket shows how they transform both into London street style. This deer suede biker has an asymmetrical zip-up fastening, as well as zipped cuffs and larged notched lapels. There are poppers on the lapels, as well as fastening on the belt loops, and three slanted zip pockets at the front.

Selected Homme Lean Suede Biker Jacket

Lean Suede Biker Jacket – £250, Selected Homme

This sand-coloured suede biker jacket by Selected Homme has been cut to be a close fit, and it has a number of smart touches, including epaulettes on the shoulders. An asymmetric, slightly slanted zip fastens up the front, and there are two standard waist-height pockets as well as a slanted chest pocket at the front – each of them fasten with zips. If that’s still not enough zips for you then you’ll find a zip on each cuff as well.

Reiss Eli Suede Biker Jacket, Navy

Eli Suede Biker Jacket, Navy – £375, Reiss

Reiss’s Eli jacket is as luxurious as you’d expect from the brand – it’s been fashioned from soft Indian goat suede in stylish navy and is fully lined. This simple and super-smart piece has a press-stud tab collar, and, unusually, two patch pockets at the hip, both of which fasten at the top with zips. There are popper fastenings at the cuffs as well as at the waistband, which makes the item adjustable.

Cobalt Faux Suede Biker Jacket

Cobalt Faux Suede Biker Jacket – £40, Boohoo.com

If you like the look but want to save an animal or two, this cobalt faux suede biker jacket fro Boohoo.com could be the one for you. In a bright, almost electric blue suedette, it as an asymmetric zip fastening at the front, four pockets, an array of poppers on the lapels and epaulettes, and – unlike our other contenders – comes complete with a belt, which fastens around the bottom of the jacket.

Camouflage Jackets for Men

It’s odd how the camouflage jacket – an item that originally aimed to render its wearer invisible – has become a fashionable item. Luckily, it is pretty useless at hiding you if you’re in an urban environment; and it never seems to go out of fashion. So, with that in mind, we present you with our five favourite camouflage jackets for men:

Zip Through Camo Harrington Jacket With Borg Collar
Zip-through Harrington Jacket with Borg Collar – £35, Boohoo.com

Boohoo’s camouflage Harrington jacket is quite a short length and zips up the front, though there are also two chrome fastenings at the top and bottom of the front edge of the garment’s fastening. With an off-white borg (that’s ‘fluffy’ to you and me) collar and ribbed black cuffs, it will see you through autumn and into winter. The fully-lined jacket has two vertical and visible zip-up pockets on either side.

Reclaimed Vintage Revived Military Parka In Camo

Military Camouflage Parka – £32.50 (was £65), Reclaimed Vintage Revived

From a company that sells surplus military wear – sometimes customised – from all over the planet, this Reclaimed Vintage Revived’s parka has a comforting air of authenticity about it. Made from a mid-weight canvas, it has a concealed zip fastening (as well as a press-studded placket) and a drawstring hood. It’s finished off with two slanted zip pockets at the sides as well as two large snap-fastened patch pockets at the top.

Padded Knitted Camouflage Jacket – £14, Lee Cooper

A real bargain, this one! The Lee Cooper camouflage jacket will keep you warm as the days get colder: the main body is padded and the long sleeves – which have fitted cuffs – are knitted. An adjustable hood fastens more tightly with a toggle, as does the hem. With an internal pocket, two zip pockets and a chin guard, this jacket really is packed with design features and is finished off with stitched Lee Cooper branding at the front.

Replay Camouflage-print Jacket
Camouflage Print Jacket – £67.50 (was £135), Replay

In shades of grey and blue, this isn’t really going to hide you in a combat situation – however, if you’d like to stand out and look smart in a pub, it will do the trick. Replay’s camouflage print jacket has a high collar and elasticated cuffs. Fastening at the front with a zip, it has a patch pocket on the sleeves, as well as two zipped welt pockets at the front. It’s currently available at less than half price in the sale, so act now if you want to get your hands on this one!

DSquared2 Camouflage Ski Coat

Camouflage Ski Coat – £1,365 DSquared2

Moving to the designer end of the spectrum, we have this camouflage ski coat from Dsquared2. It’s actually two coats in one – the bottom layer is a black padded hooded shorter jacket which can be worn beneath the camouflaged layer which has an array of visible black zip and press stud pockets, a sizeable hood, a concealed velcro zip closure and the company’s branding. It’s expensive, yes – but it will definitely keep you warm!
